Emily Su’s Four-Day Weekend
Throughout the adventurous days, I came across countless thrilling adventures. Moments were shared with close friends and family, and will be cherished. Each day of the weekend we explored new exciting destinations. Throughout my adventure, we hit the road to Maple Town, searched for chocolatey easter eggs, explored the endless doors in the mall, celebrated a close friend’s birthday, and last but not least we feasted our eyes on the new and exciting Super Mario movie. As I woke up on a bright, and early Saturday morning, I felt a gentle breeze wash over me. The dazzling sunlight glistened on the window, rays of sunlight lit up my room. I stared into the window, the sun shone brilliantly in the dazzling, blue sky, white, fluffy clouds drifted across the sky. As ten o’clock slowly approached, we got packing, and fled out. We arrived at Maple Town, and as we met up, an enormous crowd surrounded the guide, waiting for a voice to pour out. As we settled down, she began to speak, we listened as she spoke, holding back excitement to explore the bird zoo. We sprinted as she finished, glancing and studying the unique species of wildlife. Information about habitants, diets, and their species appeared on the wooden platforms. It was quite fascinating to learn and examine the different types of species. After wandering around and exploring the wonders of the bird species, we walked along the trail. As we strolled around, my eyes feasted on a glorious lake, the dazzling sunlight glistened upon the waters. The gleaming sunlight shone gorgeously on the shallow water. The view of glinted water was breathtaking. The warmth of the sun speared across my skin, it felt so soothing. The smell of fresh earthy trees felt relaxing. Wild birds chirping, and ground bugs buzzing. I felt amazed and at peace as we took a stroll through the forest trail. We gathered together at a wooden picnic table, and feasted on delicious meals. I feasted on mouth-watering seafood flavoured ramen, the ramen was begging to be eaten. The smell of the seafood-flavoured ramen was mouth-watering, the noodles texture was chewy and had a bouncy texture. The warmth of the creamy soup spreaded across my face. The taste was creamy, rich, and savory. Afterwards, we made a quick stop to get some samples of their maple syrup. A sweet, caramel-like flavour bursted in my mouth. It sure satisfied my sweet tooth. We finished up, and headed towards the entrance of Maple Town, a crowd formed around an appealing popcorn stand. A savoury but almost fragrant smell surrounded the stand. Samples were generously given to us, maple, sweet n salt, and buttery popcorn. We purchased a bag of buttery popcorn, there was a hint of butter and smokiness to the taste. The popcorn bits dissolved in my mouth. Afterwards we headed out, we drove off. I woke up to a ray of sunlight, gleaming on my face. My eyes squinted at the dazzling sunlight. A bright scenery as I peered into my window. Excitement rushed through my body, knowing that I was heading to an adventure. As 11 a.m. approached, we fled out. The Easter event was packed with people, crowds surrounding the hot chocolate stand, popcorn stand, and bouncy castles. I stood in line for a bag of buttery popcorn, my mouth watering as I stood in line. I stood my hand into the warm bag, the taste of the popcorn was buttery, savory,and it tasted like any movie theater popcorn. As I took a longer stroll around the marvelous event, my eyes came upon a field filled with plastic eggs. A huge crowd hovering over the entrance of the field, many people ready to sprint. Golden tickets were hidden in the eggs, once a ticket is claimed, a prize is generously given to them. Once the guide finished counting down, the crowd sprinted towards the field, people taking hold of the eggs. As every last one of the eggs were filled in the children’s basket, people cracked open the eggs to see if a golden ticket was hidden inside. As my siblings opened their egg, a golden ticket appeared, and they bursted in excitement. My siblings came back running with a new found prize in their hand, and a wide smile across the face. With a few more rounds of egg scavenger hunts, we drove off, and drove to our next destination, Stone Road Mall. As we arrived, I was full of excitement, ready to explore the endless stores of the mall. Items were presented on a platform, I glanced and peered at the glass windows. Fragrant scents as we entered each and every store. We strolled and shopped, as we got hungry, we decided to take a quick stop at the food court. The aroma was fresh, and the scent was like any other fast food restaurant. We ordered a platter of nacho new york fries, the crispness and the warmth of the fries completed everything, the salsa added a very fine touch to the fries. The salsa is filled with fresh bites of tomatoes, crispy bacon bites, sour cream, and green onions. Thereafter, we tidy ourselves and hit the road back to our home. I woke up with a new found excitement, the sunlight brightened up my room as I opened the blinds. I got ready and did some last minute touches to the birthday gift. As 12 o’clock arrived, we rushed out the door, and drove off. Happiness erupted, as my eyes landed on the birthday boy. A crowd hovering over him, the room erupted with chatter. As we settled down, the guides guided us through the process of using VR’s (virtual reality) As they were done, we ran to our stations, and started to set up everything. There were varieties of different and exciting games to choose from. Shouting and excitement erupted in the room during game time. Games were full of fun and excitement. Afterwards, we took a stop at a fine diner, and feasted on mouth-watering dishes, and sipped on refreshing drinks. The pizzas were nicely plated on a platter. The cheese pull amazed me, the pizzas tasted amazing. They were seasoned generously, the toppings were fresh out of the soil, the sauce was smooth, and well seasoned. We played pool for a couple of minutes, it was new to many of us, and excitement bursted out as we scored. Afterwards, we feasted on a delicious looking cake, the cake was soft, and the cream was sugary and probably the best part of the cake. The party ended with the birthday boy opening his gifts, a crowd formed around him, wondering what treasures he was gifted. A smile appeared, as he happily opened each gift. The sunlight shone on my face, as I woke up from my nap. The window glistened beautifully. I was waiting for this very day, my excitement bursted out. I patiently waited until 12 o’clock arrived, as 10 o’clock approached we fled out. As we entered, the scent of buttery popcorn evaporated the room. We waited patiently in line for our snacks. Once we got our buttery popcorn and refreshing drink, we headed to the theaters. I stuck my hand in the bucket of buttery popcorn, and started snacking on them. The taste was classic movie theater popcorn, buttery, salty, light but crispy. Took a few sips of Sprite, it was quite refreshing and icy cold. We sat patiently and quietly, waiting for the intro to end. The movie was quite fascinating, it had its ups and downs. I enjoyed the new Super Mario Bros movie, but it wasn’t all that impressive. We left in a good mood, a wide smile across our face. As the golden sun slowly set, I laid my eyes on a breathtaking sunset. The dazzling sky was filled with a rosy pink, and an orangish-yellow. I felt at peace, as my eyes feasted on a glorious sunset. My four-day weekend had been adventurous, and I dearly cherish those moments.
