The animals were nice and they handed out some activity sheets but i would like to speak up and ask if “petting” was implied because it was pretty clear that we weren’t allowed to touch the animals so much for a petting zoo.

*We froze half to death on the walk there from the barn so be careful!*

The next stop was the foraging competition!!!…. Guess what guys? They tricked us again! But I can’t complain because they handed out cotton candy and gave out boxes of jelly beans. They had a mini golf that didn’t look legit, but I didn’t try it so I have no say. We had a look around and there was this part that was outrageous, they put thistles and poison ivy on display where a baby could reach it (Maybe i’m just being angry but in their defense, they had labels that said do not touch)

*Not learning our lesson, we turned into human popsicles on the way back to the barn but stopping on the way to see a bird show*

We found the entrance and ran for the door! Ah, Splendid performance! I almost crash into a bunch of people as I rush in. Too startled to feel the numbing warmth creeping up my legs I listen to a few people introducing North American kestrels. It was SO tiny and I SO wanted to grab it and hug it forever (ok, in hindsight that does sound like a bad idea but… Ok i actually don’t have anything to back it up so just forget that this is a thing and keep reading). We went upstairs and listened to a person explaining the sad story of an old hawk named indie. It was like, this is indie and she’s a weird hawk and she lived in this old shack-ish thing and she was sad and that’s why you have to give us all of your money and not feel bad about it.

*Forgetting about the cold once again we head outside and get frostbite in our insides in search of a tropical greenhouse. real ironic since it was literally freezing outside*

Update! We head into the car which happens to be beside the greenhouses, we couldn’t find the entrance to them and end up asking people for directions.

*Knowing that we will most likely turn into blocks of ice this time, we risk it for the free stuff which happens to be flowers, a pot of grass, and a few stickers*

We find it and it feels like we’re burning alive when we get in. turns out it was kinda worth it because we got pansies and petunias (whose names both appear in harry potter. Hm, I wonder if this person is in her Harry Potter faze?). We got to decorate a pot (of grass) and left.

So overall, we had an interesting time at College Royale, and even though it had a few flaws things went smoothly and I’m looking forward to coming back next year

IDK what to do here so i’ll type my name
Catherine
I hope your not still reading

["post-3081","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
